About Me

Hello everyone!
Since you're probably here to choose a teacher from among hundreds, let me share a helpful tip: one of the strongest signs of of student satisfaction is the average number of lessons per student.

How do you calculate it?
Simply divide the total number of lessons a teacher has given by the number of students who have taken at least a second class.
Verbling is especially helpful here, as it’s the only platform that clearly displays this statistic on each teacher’s profile.
(In my case, you’ll see I have around 50 lessons per student: this number is calculated by Verbling, taking into account only those students who took at least one class after the trial class)
To sum up: if you avoid teachers with a low average, you're much more likely to enjoy a positive and rewarding learning experience.
Wishing you all the best in your learning journey — and if you choose me, see you soon! 🤗

About me
Hello!
My name is Valerio, and I’m a native Italian speaker, born and raised in Turin, Italy.
In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, learning new languages, and spending quality time with my family and friends.

Me as a Teacher - why choose me?
I've been teaching online for over 6 years, with around 3,500 lessons taught so far.
In addition to being a teacher, I’m also a programmer — so if you're a perfectionist looking for someone who is precise, methodical, patient, and at the same time fun and approachable, I might be the right fit for you! 😊
If you're interested in philosophy, meditation, or introspective topics, that could be another great reason to connect — I love meaningful conversations.
To me, the human connection is the most important part of teaching. I always aim to create a comfortable and trusting environment where students feel relaxed and confident.
I’m patient and friendly, and I truly believe that the main goal of this kind of lesson is to give you a real chance to practice. Especially if you’re a beginner, you need someone who will support you, encourage you, and make you feel completely at ease while speaking.
And one more thing: you have to talk!
The more you speak, the more I can help — by spotting mistakes, introducing new expressions, and giving you useful tips on pronunciation and fluency.

My Lessons & Teaching Style
The content of each class is flexible, because every student has a different background, learning style, and goal. That’s why we’ll start by discussing your needs and setting clear learning targets, so I can tailor each lesson to your unique path.
If you don’t have specific preferences, I’ll encourage you to talk about topics that interest you — I believe language should be a means of expression, not just something to study for its own sake.
While you speak, I’ll take notes and write corrections in real time, so you can see them without being interrupted. This way, our conversation stays natural and relaxed — just like chatting with a friend, but with focused and structured feedback.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions — I’ll be happy to help. See you soon! 😊
